Kate works closely with parents to develop a comprehensive and supportive lactation plan.
Kate has studied and works with some of the leaders in the lactation community. She has volunteered internationally within refugee communities, providing necessary breastfeeding support and aid during emergency situations.
She is an active participant in the local, national and international lactation community. Kate currently serves on the board of NYLCA as education/events coordinator and marketing/outreach director. Kate is continually attending professional conferences and trainings to keep up with the evolving field of human lactation in order to provide the best possible care for her clients.

Breast/Chest Feeding Consultation

Includes an assessment of parent and baby, detailed health history, observing a feeding, pre and post feed weight and a comprehensive care plan.

This service is also available for Bottle Feeding Families. If your breastfed baby struggles to accept a bottle, an initial home visit can help get you on your way to bottle feeding success.

I am available for post-visit communication for 1 week after the visit.

For established clients only. This is a brief appointment to confirm that your feeding planning is on track and that the baby is gaining weight appropriately.

Lactation Education- you will gain a greater understanding of how breastfeeding works.
Review the full health history for the anticipated nursing parent with a comprehensive plan for baby’s arrival. Prenatal/Pre-adoptive clients receive $50 discount on post partum Breast/Chest Feeding Consultation.

All online bookings require a credit card to confirm your visit. Your visit is not confirmed until you have completed your health history form and signed consents.

Insurance Info:
I am an Out-Of-Network provider. Payment is due at time of service. I will provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement (minus travel fee for Out of Zone). Lactation support is mandated by The Affordable Care Act. Check with your insurance company to request pre-authorization to see an out-of-network provider. Here's information on why most IBCLCs are out-of-network, and how to get reimbursed for your visit.
WIC. Medicaid, First Responders, and other families in need, please reach out regarding sliding scale.
